Education and Training Committee
The Education & Training Committee defines areas of education & training to be supported by the ESA, discusses/proposes/recommends issues/areas related to education & training, CME and CPD in anaesthesia, critical care medicine, emergency medicine and pain management in Europe. It monitors and updates training guidelines in Europe, organizes/is responsible for the Joint Hospital Visiting Programme together with the UEMS/EBA, provides input into, and receives input from the UEMS/EBA, provides a pathway for input of trainees, administers the ESA Fellowship and approves the Young Teacher's Grants proposed by the NASC Committee.
The Chairperson reports to the Academic Affairs Committee. The members include the Chairperson of the Examinations Committee, a representative of the FEEA and the UEMS/EBA, and one additional expert in the field of education and training in Europe.
