Young Teacher's Grant

The European Society of Anaesthesiology, through the National Anaesthesia Societies Committee (NASC) awards 10 Young Teacher’s grants for young lecturers from East Europe to attend Euroanaesthesia meetings.

  1. The applicant should be involved in specialist and / or Continuous Medical Education (CME) / Continuous Medical Development (CMD) programmes in his/her own country.
  2. The applicant should preferably be under 40 years of age.
  3. The applicant must be an ESA member and be a citizen residing and working in one of the countries of the former East block in Europe.
  4. The National Society of the country of residence of the applicant must be a Society Member of the ESA, in good standing.
  5. The applicant should submit a recommendation from the head of his/her department and from the President of the National Society.
  6. Applications must be sent, by regular mail, to the ESA Secretariat, 24 rue des Comédiens, BE -1000 Brussels, Belgium.
    Grant applications must reach the ESA Secretariat by September 15th for travel to the Euroanaesthesia meeting of the following year.

  7. The grants awarded include free registration to the Euroanesthesia meeting and up to 4 nights hotel accommodation. An additional 500 euro is paid directly to the grant winner to cover travel and sundry costs. Grant winners make their own travel arrangements. The ESA Secretariat handles and confirms registration and hotel booking to the grant winners.

  8. Award winners are invited to the Awards Ceremony at the Euroanaesthesia meeting and receive official recognition at this ceremony.
