Submission conditions
When submitting your abstract, you will be prompted to accept the following conditions:
- The work in the abstract should not be presented at a large English-speaking meeting before the Euroanaesthesia 2010 Meeting, nor should the work appear in another form at that meeting.
- The work will not be published before the 2010 Meeting, in whole or in abstract, in an indexed journal.
- Studies involving animal or human subjects must satisfy the requirements of the institution or organisation of the authors regarding the use of human subjects or animals in research.
- Your presentation will be unbiased, based on the best available evidence and all elements of the presentation will be free from the control of commercial interests.
- In consideration of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) taking action in reviewing and editing the submission, the author(s) must transfer, assign, and otherwise convey copyright of ownership in said work to the ESA in the event said work is published by the Society. This copyright assignment applies only to the abstract submitted and does not apply to, or prevent, subsequent publication elsewhere of a full manuscript relating to the subject matter of such abstract.
- If the abstract is accepted, the author commits him/herself to present his/her work at the Annual Meeting for which the abstract is submitted. If an individual submits multiple abstracts and more than one abstract is accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting, the ESA will attempt to schedule the presentations to prevent time conflicts for the author. Because of the complexity of scheduling the large number of abstracts that are accepted, some conflicts in presentation times for abstract authors may be unavoidable. If a scheduling conflict occurs, the author submitting the abstract acknowledges that he/she will be responsible for selecting a co-author who clearly understands the study and the abstract, to present the abstract (and who of course also has to pre-register in time). Abstracts will not be published in the supplement of the European Journal of Anaesthesiology and will be rejected for presentation at the Annual Meeting if the presenter fails to meet the preregistration deadline.
- Any schedule information about an accepted abstract that is communicated or published by the ESA will only be valid if its presenter has pre-registered before March 30, 2010.
