*Part I Upgrade Fee

Candidates applying for the Part I examination in a country where the Part I examination is mandatory and who are registered in the national medical register of that country are entitled to a reduced Part I application fee. The official national bodies in charge of organising the Part I examination in these countries and the ESA can confirm this fee to the eligible candidates.

After they have passed their Part I examination and in order to become eligible for the Part II, these candidates have to pay:

  • the “Part I Upgrade Fee”, which is the difference between the Part I full application fee (240 Euro) and the reduced fee they paid for the Part I. Such candidates will have to pay their Part I Upgrade Fee before or when applying for the EDA Part II.

        And

  • the normal Part II application fee which has to be paid before the Part II application deadline. Please note that the Part II examination does not need to be taken in the year following the Part I examination.

If you have paid a reduced Part I application fee and wish to take the EDA Part II examination, fill in and send back the Part I Upgrade Fee form before or when applying for the Part II examination.

**Completion Fee

Diplomas are issued only after payment of the completion fee.

Candidates are not allowed to refer to their status as Diplomate of the ESA until the diploma has been issued.

Diploma recipients are invited to attend the Euroanaesthesia Diploma Granting Ceremony where the diplomas are presented and are also entitled to a reduced registration fee to attend the Euroanaesthesia meeting if they wish.
