Call for candidates- President-Elect

Election for President- Elect will take place during the Council meeting that will be held on Friday 8 June 2012 in Paris, France. Term of office is for one year starting as of 1 January 2013. Upon completion of the term of office, the President- Elect shall immediately and automatically become new President of the Society.
The composition, election criteria and method of nomination to the Board are detailed in Section 7 of the By-laws of the Society, which can be viewed on the ESA website www.euroanaesthesia.org.
Attention is drawn to the fact that
- at any one time, five elected members of the Board of Directors must have been members of Council at the time of their election (condition currently fulfilled – all ESA Active members can stand for election this time)
- no more than two elected members shall reside in the same country or have the same nationality
- the President and the President-Elect shall reside in different countries and be of different nationality
- each candidate for office, whether or not they are a Council member, shall have been an active member of the ESA for at least three years
How to apply?
Please send your CV (single side of A4) and an election statement of your vision for your term as
President to anne@euroanaesthesia.org no later than 7 May 2012. Your application will then be forwarded to the Nominations Committee for approval. If you do not wish to go through the Nominations Committee, please send two supporting letters from two active members together with your application.
The candidates might be asked to make a 5 minutes presentation during the Council meeting that will take place on Friday 8 June 2012 in Paris, France
