Congresses
The first Euroanaesthesia congress organised by the European Society of Anaesthesiology took place in Vienna 2005. Subsequent European Anaesthesiology Congresses were held in Madrid (2006), Munich (2007), Copenhagen (2008), Milan (2009) and Helsinki (2010). Future venues include Amsterdam (2011) and Paris (2012).
The ESA organises Euroanaesthesia throughout Europe. The congresses are attended by members and non-members representing more than 65 countries from around the world. Euroanaesthesia is organised with the active participation of National Societies, and joint meetings are held with them on occasion. The European anaesthesiology congress, Euroanaesthesia, is accredited by the UEMS/EACCME for C.M.E. credits.
Euroanaesthesia offers a comprehensive scientific programme of refresher course lectures, scientific symposia and workshops as well as satellite symposia and workshops, together with the presentation and discussion of original research papers, selected on the basis of quality of abstracts submitted. The scientific programme is established by 19 scientific subcommittees.
Abstracts of research papers and posters presented at the European Anaesthesiology Congress are published as a supplement to the European Journal of Anaesthesiology.
Enquiries from companies wishing to take part in the industrial exhibition at Euroanaesthesia should be made to the ESA Exhibition Manager.
